Clear Aligner Treatment
Dr. Troy Kemahli can evaluate your oral health, including new x-rays, to determine whether clear aligners will correct your orthodontic issues.
Typically, clear aligners works well for mild to moderate alignment concerns:
- Crossbite
- Overbite
- Underbite
- Crooked teeth
- Twisted teeth
- Overlapping teeth
You wear the first aligner for about two weeks and then move on to the next one in the set, staying the course until you have exhausted your supply. This marks the end of treatment and a new, straight smile.
As far as the length of treatment, it can vary from several months up to two years, depending on the complexity of your orthodontic issues. Your dentist will provide a timeline during your consultation. You can also remove your aligners when eating and brushing your teeth.
There are many benefits to straightening your teeth with clear aligners which is why it is such a popular adult orthodontic treatment. The most obvious, of course, is that you end up with straight teeth and a beautifully symmetrical smile. Your confidence will soar because you will no longer feel self-conscious about the appearance of crooked or crowded teeth.
Another popular feature of clear aligner treatment is that the aligners are removable. You’ll receive several sets of clear aligners designed to move your teeth gradually into the desired position.
You should wear them for at least 22 hours a day, but you can remove them for meals and to brush and floss. There are no dietary restrictions as there are with traditional metal braces, and you can continue to enjoy all your favorite foods.
And with no brackets and wires on your teeth, you can keep your orthodontic treatment to yourself. The crystal-clear aligners fit snugly over your teeth and are virtually invisible when worn.
Even better, clear aligners can straighten your teeth at any age. Because our teeth can be moved at any point in your life, even patients in their 50s, 60s, and 70s can enjoy a straighter smile with Invisalign.

Cosmetic Dentistry
Anyone whose smile is healthy but has cosmetic flaws is a good candidate for a smile makeover. When we talk about smile makeovers, we’re talking about any service or treatment that improves the aesthetics of your smile.
The fascinating thing about cosmetic dentistry is that there’s often more than one way to correct an aesthetic flaw. You may look at smile imperfections like broken teeth and think you need porcelain veneers to see the results you want. But Dr. Kemahli may find that a conservative procedure like dental bonding is a more appropriate option and a better fit for your budget.
Likewise, you may have a slight tooth misalignment and immediately think of Invisalign clear braces to straighten your teeth. In some cases, however, we can place just a few veneers to conceal the misalignment without the need for orthodontics.
The first step is to schedule an appointment with Dr. Kemahli so you can share your concerns and your desires for a more beautiful smile. He will perform a thorough evaluation of your oral health and then explain all the options available to help you achieve your goals.
If you would like to find a cosmetic dentist who will work with you and your budget to help you achieve the smile of your dreams, call Kemahli Dental in Bellevue. We can’t wait to help you love your smile again!

General Dentistry
Dr. Kemahli agrees with the recommendation of the American Dental Association to schedule dental exams and cleanings every six months. These are easy appointments that offer tremendous benefits and won’t take much time out of your busy schedule.
Dental exams on a routine basis help you in several ways. You benefit because seeing us periodically for checkups helps you avoid the discomfort of dental problems and the need for complex or costly dentistry.
Teeth cleanings every six months are crucial. Periodontal disease is a widespread problem that affects half of all US adults over age 30. It’s not just an oral health problem because bacteria in your mouth can travel to other parts of your body. Researchers are finding new connections every day, but so far, gum disease has been linked to heart and lung disease, diabetes, stroke, dementia, low birth weight, and many others.
The good news is that it is also highly preventable. And if you do develop gum disease, our dental hygienist will find it during your routine cleaning appointment and plan treatment accordingly.
Seeing you throughout the year also allows you and Dr. Kemahli to develop a trusting relationship. You can feel confident that you will always have a friendly professional to turn to who knows you and is familiar with your history.
If it’s time for your next exam and teeth cleaning, call our office to schedule an appointment. Been a while since your last dental visit? Don’t worry; we will never judge or lecture you because our only goal is to help you improve your oral health.
Teeth Whitening
If you decide to whiten your teeth, it is crucial to choose a safe product or system. When you whiten under the discretion of a dentist, you can count on time-tested products designed to be gentle yet effective on your teeth.
When you choose online systems or store-bought kits, the ingredients can be abrasive and lead to ongoing tooth sensitivity. In some cases, these systems can damage your enamel and give you uneven results.
Kemahli Dental provides professional teeth whitening to improve the look of your smile dramatically. Our system can lift away stubborn yellow and brown stains just in time for a wedding or job promotion.
We also offer in-office whitening and take-home kits, depending on your preference. In-office may provide faster results, but our take-home kits allow you to whiten on your schedule—while reading a book, doing laundry, or enjoying a favorite film.
During your consultation, your dentist will help you decide whether professional teeth whitening will provide the results you’ve been looking for.
